2025 Budget Consideration
Council will begin considering its 2025 Budget at its meeting on October 8, 2024. There are six budget meetings scheduled.
Accepting Applications for Town Committees
The Council for the Town of Mono is accepting applications from individuals interested in being appointed as a member of a selection of committees for the remainder of the 2022–2026 Term of Council. Applications will be accepted until January 16.
2024 – 2025 Tree/Seedling Program: Accepting Orders
Place your order for Mono's 2024/2025 Tree/Seedling Program online. The tree/seedling program is only available to residents and ratepayers of Mono. All orders must be placed by Monday, February 17, 2025. Pickup: May 1–3, 2025.

Canada Post Service Strike: Water Bill Notice
Due to the impending Canada Post service strike, you may not receive your water bill in the mail as usual. However, please remember that you are still required to pay your water bill on time.
2024 Tree Harvesting (1926, Aikens, and Klondyke Forest Tracts)
The Town will be harvesting approximately 4,200 trees from 3 of its forest tracts starting November 2024. Signage and barriers/fencing will be present. Please obey all signage and avoid the designated areas.
Notice: Hydrant Flushing | Week of November 18
The Town of Mono's operating authority will be performing hydrant flushing in some areas of the Cardinal Woods and Island Lake Drinking Water Systems starting on November 18, 2024
2024 – 2025 Winter Parking & Snow Information
No parking on any Town road or highway between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. starting November 15th and running until April 15th.
OPP — Deer Crossing Ahead: Drive Smart, Stay Safe!
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind all motorists traveling through Dufferin County to remain extremely vigilant in areas known for deer activity. As deer are more active, it's crucial to be aware of your surroundings.
Noise Bylaw Survey: Survey Results Published
Council needs your input on a proposed Noise Bylaw! The bylaw provides days of the week and times when activities such as lawn maintenance and the operation of tools can be done. The survey must be submitted before July 31, 2024.

Don't Flush These!
Many items we use on a daily basis cannot go down our toilets or drains. Several products, even those labelled “flushable” or “biodegradable” do not dissolve and can cause issues, such as blockages.
Mono-Adjala Townline Road Closure: Simcoe Road 1 and 15 Sideroad
There will be a road closure along Mono-Adjala Townline between Simcoe Road 1 and 15 Sideroad for a bridge rehabilitation project. The bridge is located approximately 200 metres north of Simcoe Road 1.

Lowering Monora Park Pond's Water Levels
Monora Park's Pond water levels will be lowered today (May 25, 2022). The pond levels are being lowered as part of the process in the CVC's Monora Park Dam Mitigation project.
