This notice is to inform you that Hurontario Street, between Dufferin Road 7 (Hockley Road) & 10 Sideroad, will remain closed to thru traffic this summer for the reconstruction of Bridge 5. Access will be maintained to all properties throughout the duration of the project. Some preliminary works will take place in the coming weeks, with construction expected to commence sometime in June/July, with a fall 2026 completion.
All agencies, such as, but not limited to; emergency services, waste management (GFL), Canada Post, Dufferin County, MTO, school boards and bus companies will receive a copy of this notice. Every effort will be made to ensure there is minimal or no disruption to the services they provide. During the road closure, Esposito Bros Construction will be responsible for bringing garbage, recycling, and yard waste bins, to and from a location that your collection agency is able to pick it up. We ask that residents have all waste ready for pick up at the end of their driveway by 7:00a.m. on collection day and that bins are marked with a name and home address, so they can be returned.
You are encouraged to visit the Town’s website for any updates regarding this project, as well as all other Town capital and maintenance projects.
