The Study:
The Town of Mono has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment study (MCEA) to evaluate options for improvements to its water supply, with consideration of planned and approved growth in the Town. Options for improvements will consider concentrations of arsenic in raw water supplies in the study area.

The Process:
The Study will follow Schedule B of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process (Municipal Engineers Association, February 2024), which is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. The study will evaluate and recommend solutions in consultation with the public, Indigenous Nations, and agencies. At the conclusion of the Study, the process will be documented in a Project File Report (PFR), prepared for public review.
