Roadside brushing is scheduled to begin the second week of August until mid September. Roadside brushing involves removing trees and brush in the right-of-way. This reduces the height of vegetation to improve visibility (sight lines) at intersections and driveways. Brushing also supports drainage and protects roadway infrastructure.
Residents and road users should be aware that brushing can leave roadsides looking unkempt. Brushed areas typically return to a natural, healthy appearance within one to two growing seasons. Minimal impact to traffic is expected. Construction signs will be posted to inform road users that roadside brushing is in progress.
Please continue to monitor the Town's website for any updates regarding this and all other Public Works operations.
