Planning Act (Statutory) Public Meeting — General Amendment to Zoning Bylaw
To consider a proposed general amendment to Town of Mono Zoning Bylaw 78-1, that if approved, would Amend Section 4(4) - Definitions + Section 5(1)(c) - Accessory Buildings & Structures.
Proposed general amendment would limit gross floor area of accessory structures, relative to lot coverage, as they relate to rural residential uses / purposes.
This Public Meeting will be conducted as a Virtual Electronic Meeting. Town Hall will NOT be open to the general public.
Any person or agency may participate in the Virtual Electronic Public Meeting and / or make written submissions either in support, or against this proposed (general) zoning amendment.
Written comments must be submitted to the Town at least three business (3) days prior to the Virtual Electronic Public Meeting being held on October 27th.
Verbal deputations can be made during the Virtual Electronic Public Meeting by navigating to: app.gotomeeting.com using Chrome as the browser and entering the access code, or alternatively by downloading and joining via desktop or mobile app. To get the access code, you must register online at least 24 hours before the meeting.

As a proposed general amendment to the Zoning Bylaw, this amendment, if approved, would apply to all lands zoned Rural (A) Zone on a go-forward basis. Existing legally constructed buildings or structures are not affected by this amendment, but any future modifications that exceed the proposed change of provisions, or newly proposed building or structures, would be subject to the amendment, if it is approved).

If a person or public body who, would otherwise have an ability to appeal the Town Council Decision, to the Local Appeal Planning Tribunal (LPAT), but does not make oral submissions at the Public Meeting and / or does not submit written comments to the Town, before any associated bylaw is passed, this same person or public body is not entitled to:
- Appeal the Town Council Decision, and / or,
- Be included and granted Party status to any LPAT hearing, unless,
In the opinion of LPAT, there are reasonable grounds to allow the appeal and Party status.
