Fill Bylaw
The following documents are provided in the context of a review and eventual replacement to Bylaw 2014-31, being a bylaw to regulate site alterations, placement of fill and removal of topsoil within the Town of Mono. The documents are part of an ongoing process to review the bylaw.
In order to address immediate concerns with Bylaw 2014-31, Council passed an amendment at its July 14, 2020 meeting. The amendment requires fill to be sourced within Dufferin County and to remove the exemptions granted to construction that is incidental to to a building permit, including the construction of driveways/entrances. Fines for violations were also increased.
