"LOVE'S LABOUR
When immigrants arrived in the hills of Mono in the early 1800s, women played an essential role in establishing farms and villages. This sculpture of a mother and her son working the land to produce food pays tribute to the vital contribution of women, then and now, in developing and nurturing our communities.
