Road resurfacing and associated contract works will continue on the following roads over the coming weeks, with a fall completion date.
- 2nd Line EHS, from Mono Centre Road (Dufferin Road 8) to dead end; and
- 20 Sideroad, from Highway 10 to Hurontario Street.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the scheduled road resurfacing on 3rd Lines EHS, from Hockley Road (Dufferin Road 7) to approximately 650 metres north, will need to be put on hold until the summer of 2023. During the coming fall, winter, and spring months, the Public Works Department is going to take the opportunity to further investigate measures to improve the stabilization of the Nottawasaga River Banks, within the project limits. For more information, please see the Road Resurfacing Update notice circulated to residents on 3rd Line EHS.
The main contract items include, but are not limited to the following:
- Pulverizing existing asphalt surfaces;
- Paving base course asphalt;
- Culvert replacements; and
- Driveway apron tie-ins.
Road closures are not anticipated, although some short-term delays should be expected. The Contractor will be responsible for all traffic control & signage.
All agencies, such as, but not limited to; emergency services, waste management (GFL), Canada Post, Dufferin County, Ministry of Transportation (MTO), school boards and bus companies will continue to be updated, as required. Every effort will be made to ensure there is minimal or no disruption to the services they provide.
Thank you for your continued patience.
