When: Saturday, September 28th — 4 pm.
Where: Orangeville Medicine Wheel Garden — Alder St. Rec. Center.
Why: To honour the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
What: We will experience a teaching from The Brave Canoe about the importance of National Truth & Reconciliation and we will paint wooden feathers together. In Indigenous cultures, feathers are often told to be a gift from the Creator and symbolize the connection between the owner, the Creator, and the bird from which they came.
We will provide the supplies, you bring your good heart. We will hang these wooden feathers from the trees to symbolize the gifts of all children.
As a reminder, we have partnered with Town Tees to bring you special Orange Shirts with artwork from the talented Indigenous artist, Isaac Murdoch! All proceeds from the sale of these items go back into programming at The Brave Canoe.
The hoodies and tees can be ordered online but be swift to allow for creation and delivery in time for the day.
