Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges in relation to several acts of mischief to property throughout Dufferin County.
Since the summer of 2021, Dufferin OPP has responded to multiple calls for service regarding graffiti to property in several areas of Dufferin County.
On January 11, 2022, Dufferin OPP received a report of mischief from a concerned citizen regarding graffiti at Island Lake Family Park in the Town of Mono. The complainant reported that playground equipment as well as park benches had been spray painted.
On February 2, 2022, after an investigation, members of the Dufferin OPP Community Street Crime Unit made an arrest in relation to these graffiti incidents.
As a result, Noah GREENWOOD, 19-year-old, of Orangeville has been charged with:
- Mischief Over $5000 - (two counts)
- Mischief Under $5000
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville, in April of 2022, to answer to the charges.
