The Purpose and Effect of the Application is to amend the provisions of the existing CL-7 Zone in Comprehensive Zoning Bylaw 78-1, as amended, to permit a proposed Small-Scale Vehicle Repair Shop, with conditions, on the above noted land parcel, located at the north east intersection of Highway 89 and 3rd Line, in the Town of Mono (subject land).
Council refused the Application, as being incompatible with the surrounding uses character of the Violet Hill area.
The Applicant or the Minister of Municipal Affairs may appeal the refusal of the proposed Amendment to the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal (LPAT) in respect to all or any part of the requested Amendment, by filing a Notice of Appeal with the Clerk of the Town of Mono. Any Notice of Appeal must be:
- Filed with Clerk for the Town of Mono, 347209 Mono Centre Road, Mono, ON. L9W 6S3 within twenty (20) days of the date of this Notice of Refusal,
- Accompanied with reasons set out for the appeal, and,
- Accompanied by the required LPAT fee. The appeal form is available on the LPAT website. or available at the Town of Mono Municipal Office. The Minister of Municipal Affairs & Housing also has the statutory right of appeal.
No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the approval authority made its decision, made oral submissions at the public meeting or gave written submissions to the Council, or in the opinion of LPAT, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
The decision of Council of the Town of Mono is final if Notice of Appeal is not received on or before the last day for filing a notice of appeal.
