Council of the Town of Mono will be holding an online/virtual meeting on April 13, 2021 at 7 pm for the consideration of an application for a permit to film scenes for a television series.

Marblemedia OU Productions 1 Inc. has submitted an application to film scenes for the brand-new television series, Overlord and the Underwoods, a comedy about an Alien who is part of an intergalactic Witness Protection Program and is hiding out in the attic of a suburban family home, on the following dates in Mono.

Filming schedule for May 3-5, 2021 (Block #1): (all times are approximate)

  • May 4, 2021 - Evening - Basecamp Trucks arrive at Private Lot in Area
  • May 4, 2021 - Evening - Street Clearing along Riverside Drive for arrival on May 5
  • May 5, 2021 - 7am - Technical Vehicles Park on Riverside Drive
    • Technical vehicles will number approximately 15; cube vans (3-4), pickup trucks (3-4), panel vans (2-3), minivans (3-4) and at least one small bathroom trailer
  • May 5, 2021 - 7am-8pm - Filming at 24 and 22 Riverside Drive (all exterior)
    • We are requesting the ability to conduct intermittent traffic stoppages with the assistance of the OPP
  • May 6, 2021 - 7am-1pm - Filming at the Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail
    • We are hoping we can include a small scene at the Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail, for a few hours at the top of our day. Ideally, this would also allow us to park a few vehicles in the north lot while we are there. When are actually filming, if allowed, we would ask permission to conduct intermittent pedestrian stoppages along the highlighted section of the trail for a maximum of 3 minutes at a time
  • May 6, 2021 - 12pm-8pm - Filming exterior scenes in the front and back yards of 24 and 26 Willow Cres
    • We are requesting the ability to conduct intermittent traffic stoppages with the assistance of the OPP
  • May 6, 2021 - 9pm - All Equipment and Vehicles Removed from Neighbourhood

The public meeting to consider this application will be conducted as a Virtual Electronic Meeting. Town Hall will not be open to the public. Any person or agency may participate in the meeting and/or make written submission either in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed application. Written comments should be submitted to the Town prior to the Virtual Electronic Public Meeting in order to be considered during the meeting.

Any person or agency may attend this Public Meeting and/or make written or verbal submissions. Written comments must be submitted to the Town prior to the Public Meeting and should be mailed to Fred Simpson, Clerk, by email to clerksoffice@townofmono.com.
