Hockley Valley becomes Hawksley Valley as this iconic Canadian artist takes to the stage of this small village’s historic community hall.
A staple of the Canadian arts scene for almost 20 years, Workman boasts a catalogue of 15 solo releases, and accolades including JUNO nods and wins, and widespread critical acclaim.
“We are incredibly lucky, Hawksley Workman has played venues like Massey Hall and The Olympia in Paris, and has opened for the likes of David Bowie, Morrissey, and The Cure. That he’s agreed to play our hall is truly a dream come true.”
-Diane Walmsley, one of the show’s organizers.
Workman will be the second Juno winner to grace the hall’s stage this year. They hosted Fred Eaglesmith on May 25th, and hope to make these shows a regular occurrence.
“Why not enjoy our own back yard?” asked Walmsley, “Let’s bring incredible Canadian artists to our historic little hall, rather than cram ourselves into Toronto.”
