Credit Valley Conservation is advising that heavy rainfall is forecasted for today afternoon in the range of 15 to 25 mm in the most areas of the Credit River watershed, especially in Mississauga.

Water levels and flows across the Credit River watershed are in the seasonal range, however soil is saturated after melting of snow, and the widespread heavy rain could generate high runoff along all watercourses in the area.
Some minor flooding in low-lying areas along the Credit River and its major tributaries may occur. As a result, local streams, rivers, and shorelines could become dangerous, especially in the vicinity of culverts, bridges and dams. The public should be warned to stay away from all watercourses, especially children and pets.
