The Town of Mono is seeking applications from qualified individuals to become the Town of Mono Community Member of the Mulmur, Melancthon, Mono OPP Detachment Board.

Public Works will tentatively commence Street Sweeping in all of its subdivisions during the week of May 15^th, weather permitting.

Reduced loads are in effect from March 1^st to May 15^th, each year, on all Town of Mono roads, with the exception of access to Coles Industrial/Commercial developments, via 2nd Line EHS.

Enbridge Gas Inc. has applied to renew its natural gas franchise agreement and for a new certificate of public convenience and necessity for the Town of Mono. You must engage with the OEB on or before April 1, 2024 to provide input or apply to be an intervenor.

On February 4, 2024 at 1 p.m., Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones will be at Mono Community Centre to celebrate the Town of Mono’s receipt of an Ontario government grant funded through the OTF to create a Snowshoe Lending Library program.

Many items we use on a daily basis cannot go down our toilets or drains. Several products, even those labelled “flushable” or “biodegradable” do not dissolve and can cause issues, such as blockages.

Mono's landfill site, located at 795261 3rd Line EHS opens twice a year in the Summer and Fall to receive tree and brush debris. The service is provided to residents & ratepayers of Mono only.

The Dufferin detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has implemented the CAMSafe program. CAMSafe is a program aimed at creating a database of residential and commercial security cameras within a community that may act as a resource for police when investigating offences/crime.

Dog owners are reminded to renew their dog licence by April 1, 2024. All dogs residing in Town of Mono are required to have a valid dog licence, renewable each year.

Friendly reminder: residents please do your part to keep the area around fire hydrants free of all vegetation, objects, snow etc. to ensure fire services can keep you, your family and neighbours safe in the event of a fire emergency.

On properties where hunting is allowed, hunters may be active between October 1 and May 31. Find out who to call if hunters are on your property without permission, trespassing, or if there is suspected poaching.

No parking on any Town road or highway between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. starting November 15^th and running until April 15^th.

Together, Dufferin County municipalities have purchased and stocked eight municipal emergency support services (ESS) trailers to provide support in local crisis situations.

Come out to this year's Spring Town Hall meeting on April 27 , starting at 9:30 am. The topic for this Town Hall is road safety in Mono. There will also be an open forum when residents can ask Council anything.

Learn about invasive plants, animals and insects and what we can do to help prevent their spread.

Did you know that many of the services you may come into Town Hall to receive are available online? If you cannot come in during our regular hours or if you are outside of Mono, you can still do lots online.

CVC is seeking an exemption from the Noise Bylaw (Bylaw 2004-16) for a maximum of seven events from May 24, 2024 to October 14, 2024. Council will be considering the exemption request at the Council Meeting on 9:15 am on April 9^th.

Sylvia Jones, MPP for Dufferin — Caledon, met with the Town of Mono Recreation Department Staff at Mono’s Winterfest to launch Mono’s new Snowshoe Lending Library.

Town of Mono Planning, Environment & Natural Heritage Committee (PENHC) will hold an in-person and virtual online public meeting on March 14 at 7 pm to review 2 applications for residential development.

The Town will be conducting maintenance on some of its Storm Water Management Ponds (SWMP) over the coming weeks.  Such maintenance will include the application of a herbicide to control invasive Phragmites, by a licensed invasive plant specialist.

Monora Park's Pond water levels will be lowered today (May 25, 2022). The pond levels are being lowered as part of the process in the CVC's Monora Park Dam Mitigation project.
