Notice of Statutory Public Meeting | Source Water Protection Amendments to Official Plan & Zoning Bylaw

PURSUANT TO Sections 17, 22, and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, the Corporation of the Town of Mono will hold a Public Meeting to receive public input regarding proposed source water protection related amendments to the Town Official Plan and Zoning Bylaw 78-1 being held on:

TUESDAY, MARCH 13, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Office, 347209 Mono Centre Road.

The Amendments are Municipal wide across all properties in the Town of Mono.

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT is to bring the Town Official Plan and Zoning Bylaw into conformity with two approved Source Water Protection Plans for the Town, in accordance with the Clean Water Act, S.O. 2006.

You are welcome to attend, ask questions and provide comments or concerns to Council. Both draft Amendments may be reviewed at the Town office during regular office hours or on the Town’s website at Written submissions to the Town Planning Department are encouraged prior to the meeting but will be accepted at the meeting. For further information, contact the Town of Mono Planning Department at 519-941-3599 Ext 230.

If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the proposed Official Plan and Zoning Bylaw Amendments, you must submit a written request to the Director of Planning at the address below.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Mono before the proposed Official Plan amendment and Zoning Bylaw amendment are adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Mono to the Ontario Municipal Board and may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board, unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
