Please be advised that the Niagara Escarpment Commission has requested the Town of Mono to comment on the attached Application for Development Permit to permit the construction of a one storey, 111.48 sq m (1200 sq ft) pole barn, with a maximum height of 5.8 m (19 ft) on an existing .92 ha (2.28 ac) lot.

If in effect, Town Zoning Bylaw 78-1, Section 5(1)(b), states that 'no accessory non-residential building or structure shall be erected or used until after a permitted residential building has been erected". There is currently no residence on the subject property and the Owners are proposing three to five years before they will be in a position to construct a residence. The Applicant has requested a variance to Zoning Bylaw 78-1 to permit the proposed barn being constructed prior to a residence.

Council will be considring this matter at their regular Council meeting on TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 2017 at 7:30 p.m., at the Town of Mono Council Chambers located at 347209 Mono Centre Road (3 kms east of Highway 10/24).
