Ongoing Programs


There are a number of programs offered in and around the town, some seasonal and others year round.


Alder Street Recreation CentreResidents of Mono may use either of the two pools owned by the Town of Orangeville. Mono will reimburse residents the non-resident fee charged by the Town of Orangeville for swimming lessons. Bring your receipt to the municipal office, complete the reimbursement form online or print the reimbursement form and mail it to us.

The Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre offers a 13 m x 25 m, six-lane lap pool.The Alder Street Recreation Centre has two pools: a 13 x 25 metre six-lane lap pool and a leisure pool with cushioned floor and a 4 metre high indoor water slide.

Mono Nordic Ski Club skierMono Nordic Ski Club

Mono Nordic Club is a private club operating 18 kilometres of cross-country ski trails, 5 with night lighting, in and around Monora Park.

Seniors Cross County Ski Social

Join the Seniors Cross County Ski Social every Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Monora Park during ski season. Non-members are welcome ($5.00 fee) and ski rentals are available ($5.00 fee). Beginners welcome, instruction available.

Tennis in MonoTennis, anyone? There are two public tennis courts in town, one at Mono College Park and the other at Mono Centre Park. The tennis courts open the first week of May and close in the fall, the exact date as determined by the weather.

The courts are for the use and enjoyment of residents and property owners of the Town of Mono. To ensure safe and equitable use, we ask that you abide by these few simply rules:

  • Tennis or running shoes must be worn.
  • Limited to 30 minutes per party when others are waiting.
  • When two or more people are wating, doubles play allowed only.
  • No bicycles or motorcycles allowed on the courts.

Mono College Courts are open every day, May through October (see above regarding closing at the end of the season),from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m.

The courts at Mono Centre Park are locked. You must purchase a key from the town at a cost of $20 per key to use these courts. The courts are available for the public (once a key has been purchased) during the following hours. Outside these hours the courts restricted to Mono Tennis Club users.
